Internal mixing process
The internal mixing process is the process of mixing raw materials such as carbon black, natural/synthetic rubber, oil, additives, and accelerators together, and processing them in an internal mixer to produce a "rubber material". All raw materials must be tested before entering the mixer and can only be used after being released. The rubber used for each type of rubber component in a tire has specific properties. The composition of the rubber material depends on the performance requirements of the tire. At the same time, the changes in rubber composition also depend on the supporting manufacturers and market demand, which mainly come from the requirements of traction, driving performance, road conditions, and the tires themselves. All adhesive materials must be tested before entering the next process - preparation of adhesive components. Only after being released can they enter the next process.
Preparation process of adhesive components
The preparation process for adhesive components includes six main sections. In this process, all semi-finished rubber components that make up the tire will be prepared, some of which have undergone preliminary assembly.
extrusion
The rubber material is fed into the extruder head to extrude different semi-finished rubber components: tread, sidewall/bead, and triangular rubber strip.
Rolling
The raw material cord passes through the rolling machine and a thin layer of rubber is hung on both sides of the cord, resulting in a final product called "cord fabric". The main raw materials for the cord are nylon and polyester.
Bead forming
The tire bead is made by wrapping many steel wires after being glued. The rubber material used for tire beads has special properties, and after vulcanization, the rubber material and steel wire can tightly fit together.
Apply triangular tape
In this process, the triangular rubber strip extruded by the extruder will be manually attached to the tire bead. The triangular rubber strip plays an important role in the operational performance of tires.
Belt layer forming
This process is for producing the belt layer. In the spindle room, many steel wires come out through a threading plate, and then pass through the mouth plate simultaneously with the adhesive material to hang adhesive on both sides of the steel wire. After hanging the adhesive, the belt layer is cut to the specified angle and width. The width and angle size depend on the tire specifications and structural design requirements. All rubber components will be transported to the "tire forming" process for tire forming use.
Tire forming process
The tire forming process involves assembling all semi-finished products on a molding machine into a raw tire, which refers to the raw tire that has not undergone vulcanization. After inspection, the raw material is transported to the vulcanization process.
Vulcanization process
The raw tire is loaded onto a vulcanizing machine, and after appropriate time and conditions in the mold, it is vulcanized into a finished tire. The vulcanized tire has the appearance of the finished tire - pattern/font and tread pattern. The tires will be sent to the final inspection area.
